Graduate Students

Katie Little is an incoming first-year PhD student studying evolutionary biology. She has a B.S in Conservation Biology from Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC. She is interested in population genetics, environmental DNA, and adaptation to ecological stress. In the future, she plans to pursue research and teaching in higher education.

Undergraduate Students

Jesse Thompson is a fourth-year student at USC, majoring in Biology, with past research experience in experimental genetics. His interests have since expanded into microbiology and ecology. In the future, he aims to pursue graduate studies and a career in bioscience.

Freddie Amos is an undergraduate student at USC majoring in Biology with a Spanish minor. After graduation, she hopes to go to vet school and become a pathologist for exotic animals! Freddie can also play viola and likes to roller skate in her free time!

Chase Johnson is a second-year student at USC, majoring in Biological Sciences. He is interested in microbiology, specifically the study of pathogens, and plans to attend medical school in the future.

Aniya Ravenell is a second-year student at the University of South Carolina, majoring in biology with a minor in women’s and gender studies. She is on the pre-med track with a special interest in improving healthcare for women and children
